It reminded me of the day of September17th 1972 while serving aboard the USS John F. Kennedy that we crossed into the Arctic. Thank GOD it wasn't winter yet, it was cold enough already. Extremely high seas with waves breaking of the bow......that is 90 feet off the water. I still cherish that memory. We were there for a week or so. Things only a young sailor would like.
